Tips & Tricks: Keyboard Shortcuts

Last Updated about a month ago

When building sites in EVlogic, a few keyboard shortcuts can significantly speed up your workflow.

1. Esc (Escape)

The Escape key is a fast way to close pop-up windows without returning to the toolbar.

Common uses include:

  • Closing validation or notification windows

  • Exiting placement or edit modes

  • Deselecting all currently selected objects

For example, after reviewing connection warnings, simply press Esc to close the window and continue working.

2. Ctrl (Control)

Holding Ctrl while left-clicking allows you to select or deselect individual objects on the map.

This works similarly to multi-select behavior in other software and is useful when you want to fine-tune a selection without clearing existing objects.

3. Shift

Holding Shift, then left-clicking and dragging, creates a selection box.

Any objects touched by the selection rectangle will be selected. This is an efficient way to select multiple objects at once across the map.
